2026 got off to a rough and rocky start and while I've been pushing through all of it, it's really had an effect on my whole online presence and my writing and just everything! Things are finally starting to return to normal, so I thought I'd write a little something something. Who knows where this will go... Not me!
On New Years Eve, the youngest kid (who is currently awaiting a kidney transplant) had a wicked headache and seriously high blood pressure and we had to rush her up to the hospital. I literally spent my New Years Eve getting thrown up on and dealing with doctors who aren't exactly equipped to deal with our particular kid...
Then The Boyfriend had to go out of town with her to see all her specialists, which is never good times! She also had to get a feeding tube which will likely stay in until transplant time, so it was another learning new things experience for us - which is always so stressful.
Luckily, after almost two weeks, they're home now and she's doing better and things are going good and we're all adjusting great. But it was a rough start.
